I love Dr. Joshi but it seems he has left the practice...no one will tell me why or where he went...he was our family Dr. for 14 years.

I saw Dr. Joshi for a sick visit when I couldn't make it to my own doctor's office before it closed. I immediately liked him. He was friendly, knowledgeable and he did not talk down to me at all. The nurse was very nice and the receptionist was as well. There was no waiting at all. And I didn't feel like I was being rushed. An overall good experience.

Upon my first visit with the Doc. I really liked him and he seemed to be interested in EVERYTHING that was happening in my life.. I had health insurancce at the time that I feel he soaked the shit out of.. I went to see him every 30 - 90 days still feeling bad, awful and miserable.. He thought that I needed antidepressant's and if I didn't need thm before him I certainly needed them after him,. I understand that he is just a primary care and he is not educated in many ares's- Lyme Disease being one of them. The whole entire time I went to him (nearly 3 yrs) he never took a drop of blood from me that would have indicated my problem. I do not fault him as he is not educated in the infectious disease area and at the time Lyme was not just a test that was givin. I often wonder how different my life would be today if he had found the Lyme.. I moved back to my home state of CT where I went to one doctor visit and told Dr. Lang (I love him) the same stuff I had been telling Dr. Girishi and he drew blood to test for Lyme and never even told me he was doing so- I was so glad to finally find out what was wrong with me, but unfortuanetly because of the length of time that had passed it turned chronic and is hard to live with.. At the rate I am going I will be in a wheelchair within the next couple years as my legs on somedays DO NOT WORK- never mind the pain I feel on a daily basis- my quality of life has changed and will never be the same as there is no cure for Lyme disease in it's late stages... I just hope when someone comes into his office with unexplained pain he draws blood- such an easy thing to prevent such a big problem.... I have gone through all the emotions, anger, sadness, disapointment etc... I just know my life would be so much different had he done a Lyme test on me as this was the problem I had.. I did not need or want antidepressant's that was not going to cure me. and why are doctors so quick to prescribe this med anyway- there are so many different kinds- how in the hell do they know what is right for your body chemistry.... Still dealing with the lasting effects of Lyme and supect this is the way I am going to live out the rest of my life... I am a 43 yr. old female that feels 63 most days.... Lyme testing should be done with every physical as it is becoming unfortuanetely a epodemic... Good luck to all and again where this was not his expertise I do not blame him I just wish we could turn back the hands of time and things would be a lot different for me.. For instance I went into his ofc. one day on a emergency basis with groin pain so bad I could not walk (not knowing obviously at the time I had lyme) and he sent me to Wentworth for xrays- there diagnosis was a "possible ingrown hair" would that make it so you can't walk? I think not.. Many questions should have risen and did not.. Was I not important? I certainly did not feel so, and as far as his staff at the time "08-"09 they made me feel like I was a hypocondryact and was just looking for attention- they did not have to come straight out and say it- body language and the way I was spoken to (definately not in a professional way) was HORRID... I'm sure he is good at being a primary he is not capable of much else- he's real good at prescribing antidepressant's when in fact it is not always what the patient needs.....
