They were so respectful and kind. They went above and beyond what I would expect and really made me feel welcome. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care.

Through my sons entire pregnancy I felt like I was always pushed aside and unimportant - it always seemed like they didn't have enough time to sit down and talk about things and when ever I tried to voice something I was concerned about (which isn't an easy task for me) the doctor always "Mhmm'd" and not another word. I felt like my questions were hardly ever answered and like I was unimportant. Considering I came to this doctor the first time as a follow up to my 17.5 week miscarriage, and the doctor knew it, I feel it was really rude- my mind was a frenzy over the possibility of it happening again. When I tried to express my concern over having a thyroid problem (it runs in my family) or a problem with prematurity the doctor tried to blow it off- it took a lot of pressure from me (which was horrifying for me to do) to make him check my thyroid for reassurance. My repeat c-section was probably the one and only time I actually enjoyed this doctor, that experience was a relief compared to my daughters emergency c-section. Now, my son a year and several months old, I called to get the Mirena I have taken out. They asked why and I told them, I was uncomfortable with it- I felt like it was messing with my emotions and my body and it was effecting my depression and hormons and I was overeating, gaining weight, and felt really exhausted and unmotivated. I addressed the fact that it could be something else, but stated I wanted to remove it just to illuminate the chance of it making things I was already experiencing worse. The nurse called back and said the doctor stated the Mirena is not at fault for the symptoms I addressed and they wanted me to seek guidance from my PCP and if they refer me back to them (the OBGYN) then they'll remove it then. I'm completely taken aback. I made it known I wanted the Mirena out, I want to try a different form of birth control- and they plainly said they would not until I seeked the attention of my PCP first? I'm aware of my symptoms, and I fully plan on seeking a psychiatrist but that factor shouldn't even matter when I'm telling them I want the device inside my uterus taken out. Needless to say, that was the last straw. I'll be seeking a new OBGYN to remove it and become my new OB.
