I took my three year old in for her first dental visit. The hygienist was excellent, really took her time asking and answering questions, and making my daughter feel comfortable. When she was finished, she wanted the dentist to look at a proto-cavity on my daughter front tooth, and to count her teeth. Dr. Cooper came in and was horrible! He didn't even introduce himself to us or our daughter, and my daughter, after having been really good through cleaning, scraping, etc by the hygienist, was clearly tired and done with the whole thing and wouldn't open her mouth for him. He didn't he try to talk her into it, he just said "we are going to refer you to a pediatric dentist who will be better prepared to deal with her attitude problem and treat her decay" after he left, my husband and I were clearly upset, and the hygienist asked if we would like to see another dentist. We said yes, and Dr. Welsh came in. She was fantastic, she introduced herself to us and our daughter, talked to her a bit, and then, though clearly not happy about it, my daughter let Dr. Welsh look at her without any issues. And Dr. Welsh said the cavity didn't even need to be treated, we just need to be better about cleaning her teeth and keep an eye on it. I highly recommend this office, but don't see Dr. Cooper!
