I was treated by Dr. Batchelor a few weeks ago for injuries I suffered from as a result of crashing on my mountain bike and injuring my elbow and lower back. I love to mountain bike and even though it is dangerous, the benefits definitely outweigh the detriments. Among other things, biking allows me to burn calories so that I can eat as much as my boyfriend without getting fat.
My boyfriend trains and races bikes with Dr. Batchelor so when I crashed and got injured, it was a given that I seek care at Dr. Batchelor's office. He treats most of the local athletes and he has been in practice for something like 30 years so he definately knows his stuff. Besides that, he is a top ranked endurance athlete himself.
Dr. Batchelor x-rayed my painful elbow and found a small chipped bone near the joint. It was an injury that would not need a cast or surgery so I was happy about that. He put my arm in a splint and gave me a list of things to avoid for the next 8 weeks. It is healing up nicely.
The other injury i sufferred from during the crash involved my lower back. The pain was intense and when I coughed it felt like the joint at the bottom of my lower back was going to explode. He examined my lower back and found that the last vertebra in my lower back had misaligned and was pinching on a nerve. He treated me by using ultrasound to reduce the swelling in the injured area and then he adjusted the vertebra back into normal position. My severe pain vanished immediately. I was impressed because I was able to work out painfree the next day after treatment.
Dr. Batchelor is not like some stuffy doctor hiding behind a white jacket. Hes real, hes laid back and he actually cares. I am so lucky that my boyfriend has a friend that is so cool and one of the top doctors in Atlanta.
Dr. Batchelor is a PPO member with my insurance company so I did not have anything to pay which was really nice. If you need a great doctor, call mine.

I recently injured my lower back as a result of slipping on the tennis court while trying to return a serve. I felt a sudden pain in my left lower back. The pain was pretty intense and radiated into the back of my leg. I went to my family doctor who gave me pain killers and muscle relaxants. I did not take them because I know they do nothing to fix my back. I asked my best friend and she told me about Dr. Batchelor. I went to Dr. Batchelor and was pleasantly suprised. It was only a $15 copay, his front desk person was very sweet and Dr. Batchelor was very professional. After the treatment, I felt so good that I was able to play tennis that evening. That is what healthcare is suppose to be like. Thanks Dr. B and staff for helping me.

These people are the biggest crooks I have ever met! I went in there because I was in an extreme amount of pain. Prior to going I was told that I would receive a "free consultation". I informed them that I do not have health insurance that covers chiropractic care. The receptionist said that was no problem. That after my free consultation I would be able to discuss treatment with the doctor. After that, the normal adjustment fee would be $30-$40. There was NO treatment discussed. The doctor just started perfoming care without discussing. I was under the impression since there was no treatment discussed that this was all covered under the "free consultation".
After he was finished, I went to check out and was told I owe them $165!!!!! Since when is that free???? I was in so much pain and not in the mood to argue. So I told them I could pay them $50 today and thought that was fair for the services performed. I then received a nasty email from the receptionist stating that she is going to garnish my wages to get her $115.
I think this is a classic "bait and switch". At some point when the "free consultation" was over and the treatment began, shouldn't I have been informed that this is going to cost me money? Especially when the doctor was well aware that I would be paying out of pocket.

I have been a sponsored wakeboard/skateboard athlete for the past 3 years. You could imagine the injuries that I have received as a result of my chosen sports. My neck and lower back have been injured. I have broken 3 fingers and my collar bone. I had a concussion and broke 2 teeth. I have sprained my ankles and wrists numerous times and was knocked unconscious two times. This is a dangerous sport especially for a female. I have injured so many areas repeatedly that I have developed some instability in certain joints in my back and neck. Dr. Batchelor has been so nice taking care of me for my injuries. He also treats my brother who is a mountain biker. If it were not for Dr. Batchelor I don't know what I would do. I feel like a race car when it pulls into the pits and the pit crew works on me and sends me back onto the raceway. I feel so good after being treated that I hate to mess up the good work that he did by crashing again on my skateboard or wakeboard afterwards. If you are tired of the same old, "take this drug, dont do this" philosophy and want to fix and not just cover up symptoms, then do what I do, call Dr. Dan.

3 weeks ago, I was working in the yard pulling weeds when I felt a slight pain in the center of my lower back. It was not too bad so I keep working. The next morning I could not get out of bed. My wife almost had to carry me to her chiropractors office. Dr. Batchelor checked me out and found the L5 bone in my lower back was twisted and rotated out of position. It was easy to see on the x-ray. He used a few different methods to reduce the pain and swelling then he used chiropractic to re-align the joint that was pinching on the nerve in my lower back. He put a flexible lower back brace on me afterwards sort of like putting a cast on a broken bone after it was reset. When I got up to walk, the pain was 95% gone. What a relief. The next day I had to fly to Germany. I had no problems on my trip and was impressed on how quickly and effieciently the doctor took care of my problem. I will definately refer my business partner to him for treatment. He has suffered from back pain for years. Thanks Dr. Batchelor.

Last September I injured my back lifting heavier than usual weights at the YMCA. After the workout, I felt a severe pain in my lower back that radiated down the back of my left leg to my foot. I even had foot drop that made it hard to walk. The pain was intense and felt like the inside of my leg was on fire. I went to the orthopedic surgeon at Emory and he told me I needed an MRI. The MRI showed a bulging disc and he wanted to schedule me for surgery within 2 weeks. I decided to get a second opinion so I called my best friends chiropractor Dr Batchelor in Roswell. Dr. Batchelor examined me and found the bulging disc. He used a special traction type table that pulled the 2 joints apart that were pinching on the disc and by the time the treatment was over with that day, the pain was gone. I have felt perfect ever since and I avoided a $18,000 back surgery by going to Dr. Batchelor. I can imagine what would have happened had I listened to the Emory surgeon and let him cut on my back. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Batchelor. His diagosis and treatment made sense and it only cost me a $15 copay. Dr. Batchelor is also a top triathlete in Atlanta. He taught me how to lift and how to workout without destroying my back. It helped alot and now I lift differently and with lighter weights with more reps and then I do cardio after the weight workout.

I had been searching for a doctor that was also an athlete because I have been an athlete my entire life and I want my doctor to be one also so that he knows what I am going thru. Doc Batchelor was exactly that. He is a great doc and a superb athlete. Well, not just an athlete, he has won hundreds of races. Now, I have a doc to go to when I need a simple tune up or a major overhaul as sometimes happens when I push my body's limit too many times in a row. Thanks to the good doc, I am feeling good and ready for the Atlanta Marathon.

I am a senior and I play football at Woodstock. During practice, one of my teammates hit me from the side and rotated my neck what felt like 360 degrees. The pain was severe. It locked up and I screamed out. My coach took me to the sports medicine place and they told me to go home and take these muscle relaxants and pain killers and to not play the rest of the season. What a joke. No relief from the drugs.
My dad knows Dr. Batchelor so he took me to him the next morning. Dr. Batchelor checked me and examined me and then showed me my x-ray that showed the lower bone in my neck sticking out of position and pinching on a nerve. Looked pretty bad. He adjusted me and I heard a popping sound in my neck. All of my pain went away instantly. I returned to football the next day. This made me realize how ineffective the medical system is for treating this type of condition and how effective chiropractic is. This experience got me excited and it helped me decide to get my basic science degree and then apply at chiropractic college upon graduation. I hope one day I can give people the same type of relief that Dr. Batchelor gave me. The coach asked Dr. Batchelor to be our team Doctor.

I met Dr. Batchelor at a triathlon a couple of years ago. He won the triathlon, so obviously I was impressed. A doctor and a top athlete? what could be better!!!. He was exactly what I was searching for. He understands when I hurt and why I hurt and he can pinpoint the problem and correct it or find a solution because he has been there and done that many times!! Thanks to Dr. Batchelor, I don't have to suffer from the radiating neck pain that I tolerated for so long. When my uncle came to visit me from Charlotte, I sent him to Dr. Batchelor and in one visit Dr. Batchelor did more for my uncle than other doctors have ever done. I highly recommend the good doc.

I've ben to alot of doctors in my day and Dr. Batchelor has definately been the most caring and effective of them all. After suffering from neck pain for more than 6 years and trying everything, Dr. Batchelor is the only doctor that knew how to fix my neck. My 3 questions were, can you help, how long will it take and how much will it cost. He fixed my neck then taught me how to take care of it at home so the pain doesnt keep coming back. It took him less than a week to fix my neck. Simply amazing that I have wasted my time at other doctors. I wish I had sought treatment from Dr. Batchelor long ago. My insurance paid everything so you cant beat that. His staff was also very sweet!!!
