Dr. Caulkins is the most knowledgable and considerate doctor I have been to in Kitsap county. They make sure their qualifications are displayed. I was confident that I was under the care of a professional. They are always polite and never use foul language. My calls are always answered. I am never put on hold for a long time. I usually can get an appointment time that fits into my schedule. He and his staff are great.

I would never recommend them to anyone. They were terrible. It never fails how long I have to wait on hold when I call them. I'm always put on hold forever, and when I leave messages they would never call back. Just a few months ago my son was put on ADD medicine. When I called to get a refill I was told by the staff that they would let Dr. Caulkin's know. A couples days later i went to put up the medicine only to find out that the medicine can not be called in. So I made an appointment for my son to be seen.

The day of the appointment I was treated very rude by one of the medical aides there. I was told that it was ok for me to sit in the waiting room with my younger two while my other son was being seen. Then another medicinal aide came out and replied in a rude manner that my son couldn't be seen by himself and that I needed to be there with him. So after we got settled in the room I said geesh how rude, as the nurse walked in and stated, "Are we having a bad day?" and I replied yeah it's just hard for me going to the appointments every month with 3 kids and no sitter, then the nurse said, " that's ok you won't have to worry because we will be giving him a prescription for 3 month's."

That day I tried to go fill the prescription to find out that she had forgot to write a DEA number on it. Might I add that I live in Port Orchard. So I go back to the clinic a few days later after I got out of class, since they never returned my call about it. I couldn't find the prescription at that time but I went anyway to see what they could do.

When I got there the same aide that was rude to me before came in with coffee for the other stuff as she walked passed me she said, "I tried to call you but it wasn't the right number." I replied, " Oh what number did you dial?" She then said," I don't know the one you gave Beth." as she turned the corner.

Then another aide came to help me, i told her that I lost the prescription, she asked where I tired to refill it at? I told her the pharmacy’s name. She then came back and said, " well I tried calling them and they said you never went there." I replied confused, " yeah I did, they would recognize me if they saw me." So I then asked" what can I do now?" They aide went to ask someone and came back saying,” you would have to wait until the prescription is up next month." then I said "what???? I would have to wait 3 month's, and my child can't wait that long, the school is bugging me already about him needing his medicine. Then the rude aide came over and asked the other aide if she needed help explaining to me, and that aide said yes. Then the rude aide said, "THE POILCY STATES WITH A NORCOTIC....ect...ect..." I said ," whoa! I then asked why she was being rude to me, when I understood what the other aide told me, and told her that I didn't appreciate when she walked away from me earlier about the phone number and that I know for sure that I left my number on the message. She then said, "I think this is about some other issue." And I told her no it's not I understand what the aide said and that I would try to find the prescription and bring it to them but after that I'm no longer coming here because of the way I was being treated by her.

A few day's later when I found the prescription I went there to get it fixed...only to be treated disrespectfully again by not one aide but 3 of the staff at Olympic Family Practice. I was talked about when they thought that I left while I was waiting for the bathroom. I received a call from my son's grandmother asking how I was doing and when I was talking to her about everything that was going on about my son's medicine the rude aide came out to the waiting room and asked me what I was doing. Remind you that this is all happening in front of other patients, and it wasn't the first time. I told her, " that I was talking to my son's grandma. She then said , "yeah about me." I said ,"no, about everything that is going on and how I don't appreciated being talked about by you and the other staff when you thought that I had left. and in front of other patients. then she told me to leave. I said that I was waiting for the restroom, then she walked off and I used the restroom. when I was done I asked the receptionist if I could file a complaint. Then that aide came back and said "here I'm reassigning you." I said, " what for? I already said that I'm doing that because of you and how you are treating me." I said ,"no, I want to write a formal complaint and make sure something is done about this." The aide then said, " yeah you can with Dr. Caulkin's because this is his office." So I said, "fine."

I talk with the Doctor and told him everything that was going on and how I just wanted to get this medicine for my son and how I felt like they were treating my like a drug seeker and how they are very unprofessional and shouldn't be talking about clients like that. And how I'm a CNA and i know my rights. And I don't seen how reassigning me will solve the problem for future reference. And that I've never had a problem here before, and how we have been clients for 3 generations. All he said, "that it's a good idea that way it wouldn't happen again and that he thinks that it was all a misunderstanding and that he will talk with her."

I feel like my rights have been violated and that proper actions where not taken again this issue and I am planning on filing a complaint with HIPPA.

They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them. It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic. Im not put on hold to much but sometimes it has to happen.
. I always get the appointment time I want.
