I completed my undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. I then moved to the Midwest for medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin with a special focus and interest in urban and community health to learn more about reducing healthcare disparities. My family medicine training was completed at the Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine Program in San Antonio, TX where I was awarded the STFM Resident Teacher Award for my teaching contributions and interest in family medicine education. After graduating residency, I worked as a hospitalist in San Antonio but found that my true passion was in outpatient care and developing lasting relationships with my patients.
