Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: All my life all I ever wanted to be was a physician, at least from the time I remember meeting my dear old pediatrician. He was the only one I wanted to see when I felt sick, since I was certain that he would make the pain and fever go away. I was lucky enough to have parents who were ready to support my dream and did everything they could to give me a good education. My passion for medicine and hard work landed me a position in a prestigious medical school in my state. That's when I realized what an amazing calling I had chosen because every single day is a gift to have the opportunity to care for people in their most vulnerable times.
