Dr Ellis is not very professional. He does not take the time to speak with a client about their true concerns. He is not personable and doesn't listen very well. He will cut you off almost immediately. He wants the interview to go his way, according to his schedule. He will change his schedule on you with very little notice and without reason. Once you get there, he pushes his neurofeedback stuff on you and makes it seem like that is the only option. He doesn't talk about how anything can make it less effective and waits to tell you it's not covered by insurance. Then he tells you it's several hundred dollars to get started and each treatment is over $100, out of pocket, and at least twice a day! Then he tells me it has to be at least 4 times a week ($400 plus the initial brain scan). And this can go on for years?!?!? He never returns calls, offers regular therapy, and when you speak with any of the office staff, they have no clue what is going on. He doesn't seem to speak with anyone! He just comes off more focused on making money than helping clients. Even if you get psychological testing from him like my friend did, the report takes MONTHS to get back to you! She waited over 5 months for her report and every time she called for an update she was given an "I don't know." I wouldn't waste your time or money. Find someone better.
