I’m only writing this because it’s the reviews that made me go to Dr. Chellappan in the first place. First off, I only saw her maybe 3 times my whole pregnancy. Second, she asked if I wanted to be induced at 38 weeks when I was at 32 and I said I wanted to wait a little closer to that date before we decide and then 36 weeks rolls around and “the hospital won’t have room for me until I’m 42 weeks.” Third, she never took any of my concerns seriously so my last week pregnant was pure hell. Then when I am induced she rolls in 30 minutes after I’m crowning (and the nurses had me hold my baby inside) and CALLS HER PHONE IN THE OPERATING ROOM while I’m pushing my baby out. She had apparently left it but it only took me 6 pushes to get my baby out so she definitely could have waited. Lastly, when I brought it to her attention in my 6 week checkup she said “I would never do that” but I had photos??? I would never trust her with any of my pregnancies and I’m so upset my 1st was with her.

Dr. Chellappan is a wonderful doctor. She helped me through a rough time. When I was afraid to have surgery of any kind she walked me through it and saved my life. I had several blood transfusions due to loss of blood because of my menstrual and having a fibroid tumor. She did an Ablation procedure which stopped my bleeding permanently. She is a wonderful doctor and an angel. She was there at the right time when I needed someone to understand me both physically and mentally! I needed a doctor that could tell me what was going on with my body, fix the problem, understand what my thoughts and feelings were and be there for me emotionally too. She is a great doctor!
