Mentor for medical students where I teach the psychosocial aspects of practice, e.g., interviewing skills, maintaining positive relationships, generating patient adherence to prescribed regimens, ethics - I have a faculty appointment at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
Assistance for medical residents, particularly in surgery, at the Howard University School of Medicine. The major focus is test preparation for those doing well clinically but having problems passing specialty Board exams. I am occasionally referred medical students who also perform more poorly on formal testing than their work would indicate should be the case.
For more than two decades served as an Assistant Professor, and thereafter an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at George Washington University, where I've primarily supervised graduate students in job-related and clinical assessment.
