In 1994 I was in a serious automobile accident. I broke my sternum and jammed together several vertebrae in my neck. As my body healed from this trauma, I suffered from intense pain and began searching for relief.

Thankfully someone suggested seeing a neuromuscular massage therapist. The therapist's strong, deep pressure helped my healing muscles to relax and I began to feel better even after my first visit. Massage therapy became a major part of my recovery process and is still an essential aspect of my health and well being today.

Because of the changes in my bone structure due to the auto accident, my neck and shoulder muscles tend to contract and stay that way, causing points of tension and daily headaches. The only way I have found to manage the debilitating headaches is with regular neuromuscular massage therapy (NMT). A massage therapist trained in NMT will know how to quickly identify the points of tension, or trigger points, associated with each person's muscular condition and the appropriate techniques to release the contracted muscles.

When I gained an opportunity to return to school in the fall of 2008 I knew I wanted to become a massage therapist. I knew how much massage therapy was helping me and I wanted to help others gain relief from their chronic, painful, muscular conditions.

Today, I am living my dream as a professional massage therapist that gets to make a difference in other peoples lives. There is no greater satisfaction than being able to bring relief to those that are in chronic pain.

Laura's knowledge of the muscle groups is excellent. When I need work on my shoulders and back she has been extremely helpful. She remembers what the issues are, which is important to me. Her skill level and thoroughness is appreciated greatly after she has worked on me whether it's my shoulder, back or legs. I'd highly recommend Laura if you need a massage to help you relax whether it's an overworked back or a mind! I always feel better after I leave the appointment.
