We had our cat in to see the doctor for checkup and our cat had some weight loss. The older male doctor talked about the cat’s teeth as an issue so we scheduled a cleaning. We picked our cat up the same day as the teeth cleaning and we were told that several teeth needed to be removed. We were not called or notified, but still charged with the teeth extractions. We took our cat back just about 8 weeks later because of additional weight loss and they told us that our cat was probable not going to make it and that his body was shutting down. They then said that they could do some blood work, but by then it was too late for our beloved cat. We had them put our baby to sleep right away so he did not have to be in anymore pain. We could not believe it, we knew that our cat was losing weight but at the previous appointment the doctor did not tell us anything except that the teeth did not look good. He did not recommend that our cat have any blood work done or even that our cat was sick. We cried feeling upset that maybe something could have been done to either save our cat or help make his last days more comfortable. No cat should have to go through that.
