Hello, this is a staff member from the Animal Clinic of Pinckney writing in response to D. Miller's review on July 16, 2013. I first want to apologize that your experience at our clinic was not up to the standards we strive to uphold.

We took a moment to review the visit to make sure that none of our clients were treated unfairly. We saw your pet for an erupted sebaceous cyst, and the doctor said that the cyst will resolve on its own as long as it is kept clean and it does not need antibiotics. Then, she just wanted to inform you of the possible outcome of the cyst erupting again and provide information on the option of surgical removal.

We apologize again for the misunderstanding and we are very glad to hear that the issue has resolved.

They will try and take advantage of you! My dog got bit on top of his head by another dog. Even though I cleaned it, it still got infected. It was a holiday weekend, I couldn't get an appointment to see his regular vet, so tried out Pinckney animal clinic. The vet there took one look and told me it was a tumor that needed to be surgically removed and handed me an estimate for 425 dollars. I told her I need an antibiotic because its an abrasion that got infected. She just shook her head and told me no an antibiotic wont help, only surgery. What's up with that? I paid my 60 dollars, for what Im still not sure, and left. I got him into his vet 4 days later to have it checked, it had started healing itself and was almost gone. My vet assured me it absolutely was not a tumor.
