Buck Black, Therapist

Feeling stressed? Getting angry a lot?  Problems in your relationship? I am a therapist who specializes in helping improve people's lives.Areas of specialty are anger management, anxiety, and sex and relationship therapy.

My Background and Approach
I am in private practice in Lafayette, Indiana. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked for two community mental health agencies where I was a Therapist. I have clinical experience helping adolescents and adults with a wide range of problems including relationship issues, marriage counseling, couples counseling, substance abuse, anger management, anxiety, depression. I am also an AASECT Certfied Sex Therapist who specializes in working with alternative/kink/polyamory lifestyles and a variety of sexual concerns, including concerns about sexual orientation and sexual compulsivity (aka sex addiction). I also help those who wish to better their sex life, but don't have a problem.

I believe more is right with you than what is wrong with you! Typically, if you make enough changes, you can get to where you want to be...or at least pretty close. :)

I help clients to work to better their lives as soon as possible. I have been told that I help by listening and giving practical tips.

Services Why did I become a Therapist? I found that I am always talking with and helping others, which I really enjoy. I have envisioned working in private practice since late elementary school. I have a great deal of fun with my work and I certainly hope my clients end up having as much fun as I do!

My favorite things to work with are couples counseling — communication problems, sexual difficulties— and anger management.
