I called 5 days ahead of time to make a call to a local hairstylist and set an app't. So I take time out of my day (not to work during peak pay hours) to get my hair done. Well, I cannot wear a mask due to medical conditions so I always wear a shield just to not get into trouble.
Unfortunately, since the mask is held onto the back of my head, I cannot have it on while I am getting my haircut. I even told the hairstylist that I can hold it up to my face, it just can't be touching it. So she said she is going to need to call her manager, but she thinks that I'll have to go home.
Furthermore, she wanted me to wash my hands. I cannot use just any soap because of a medical condition. She was super frustrated with me and I'm like, if it is your time to go, it's your time to go - no one or thing you do is going to be able to stop it!!
After talking to her manager, she said that I could either come back after hours or I could go to an entirely different town where they have a place where they aren't so freaked out about it!!
I just don't get why people are so "fanatically emotionally" driven by this virus that has over a 90% survival rate!! This is getting super ridiculous and, in this case, very bad business on their part for not going through the process of telling me their procedure BEFORE I even came to the app't!!!
