I enjoy what I do in my dental office. I love it when I am able to use the CAD-CAM technology (CEREC) to save cracked teeth with ceramic fillings or crowns.....all in a matter of 2-3 hours time. I enjoy saving my patients teeth when they have gum disease and also being able to provide dental implants to those who have lost their teeth. To be able to change someones smile in a matter of couple of hours with the technology I have is an amazing feeling.

My insurance changed so I started with another dentist. The new dentist wanted to get xrays from Smiley. They charge $35 for something that most dentist give for free. So I have to pay for the xrays once, then pay $35 to get the extras from the office.

Check out their prices -- Smiley's prices are much higher than other dental offices.

I was recommended to Dr. Madhavan by my friend’s husband who went there and was extremely impressed by Dr. Madhavan’s dental work. Having been pretty unhappy with my prior dentist in Rockville and Gaithersburg - I have very sensitive teeth and my root canal treatment was done incorrectly by my previous dentist. I always had some food stuck in it, very annoying....

So, I visited Dr. Madhavan’s office a few weeks ago and here is my feedback, hopefully it will help you folks....

Positives:
Not only is she extremely good at her work, she has amazing knowledge... She explained me the issues with my root canal treatment so well, that I wish my prior dentist would have, so that I could have avoid my bad breath at times. But, what surprised me the most was that inspite of her expertise she is so very down to earth....Apparently while she in India, I was told that she used to work in the nights in ER rooms to help out in dental work, a way to give back to the community.


Negatives
The clinic is located kinda in a corner - Traville Gateway Drive, although some might say that it’s right off the main road. It’s located next to Giant, I believe which is kinda good because I can shop after my treatment and go home.

Oh yeah and there are some disturbing noises like the radio music which is intended to create a good environment, but I prefer a softer music rather than those songs which are played over and over again!

anyway, I have another appointment to follow up on my root-canal and implant option, will let you know how it goes....
