Dr. Mc. Keown has been our physician for a lot of years. We have always received excellent care from him and his staff. If not for him my wife might have died with colon cancer. He recommended for her to see a specialist. She is currently being treated for the cancer. She is wheelchair bound and him and his staff have went out of their way to help us get the medical equipment she needs. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellence medical care.

As a former patient of a wonderful doctor no longer with the practice, I was extremely pleased with the care provided prior to her departure. She and the nursing staff that seemed most directly associated with her were outstanding. In deciding to stay with the practice since she left, I have been increasingly disappointed. The office environment and protocols seem to have changed and from this patient's perspective, the once amazing PA with the practice seems to be micro-managed to a disadvantage to the care she is fully capable of providing. I have had two seperate instances of refills being denied to my pharmacy with no follow-up from the office as to why. I contacted them once my pharmacy reported the situation. The first instance was acceptable because I hadn't been seen for some time, but I was made to come in to have my perscription filled and schedule a physical when I could have made one office visit for the physical and them call in the refill to last until that date. My medications are not something that I depend to get me through each day, but in the second instance it has been quite impactful, and it occured weeks before the physical I scheduled after the first instance. I've received no calls from the office and am wondering if I'm expected to have a second office visit prior to my physical in order to maintain my medication schedule.
I am soon to be a former patient of this practice.
