Dr. Secrest and his staff are thorough and very open when answering my questions. His office has easy access and I am made to feel comfortable while waiting on him.

I am young, but that is no reason to talk to someone like they are a child. I was 21 and complaining of a mysterious pain that the ER couldn't find. I YAWNED and he asked why I was so tired. I don't sleep from the pain! He accused me of taking drugs and totally dismissed me. Later a nurse brought a pamphlet (who also wasn't nice) to explain what illness the doctor thought I may have. He didn't discuss this with me. He accused me of trying to get pain meds and I was very flabberghasted. He didn't discuss the illness with me. He later successfully found my diagnosis, but he wasn't nice at all. He also wasn't willing to give me anything for pain (I guess because he was convinces I was some doctor shopper). He went as far as lying and said patients with my illness weren't allowed to have pain medicine. I found a different doctor. By the way, when I woke up from my out patient procedure (the diagnostic test), he didn't even speak to me! He had his nurse come in and tell me "Well, you don't have cancer...but it is kind of like that." Exact words. I'll never forget. I am now disabled from my condition. You would think that a doctor would deliver bad news himself. The illness wasn't explain to be AT ALL. It was awful. I would never see him again unless I had NO CHOICE. If you aren't older than 30, and you aren't at least middle class, DON'T see this doctor. He was so mean and made me feel awful.
