Robert Mitchell, DDS, MS

Dr. Robert Mitchell graduated from the University of Buffalo Dental School and went on to obtain a masters degree in neuromuscular physiology in 1984, researching temporomandibular joint pain. Since that time he has limited his practice to the conservative treatment of orofacial pain, including TMJ, headaches, ear pain, and facial pain. The Center for Facial Pain, located in Scarborough, Maine, has become well known and respected throughout the Northeast by dentists, primary care physicians, specialist, and patients for its positive outcome treatments. The diagnosis of jaw or face pain is covered by medical insurance. Dr. Mitchell participates with and accepts most medical insurances, including Medicare, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, and Harvard. It is so refreshing to see a provider that you can tell truly cares about their appearance. They strive to maintain a professional appearance and look their best at all times. The chair I sat in during my dental procedure was awful. It was seriously harder than a rock. They need to invest in more comfortable chairs. I would definitely recommend them to my loved ones. I was so happy with their services. Their prices were pretty high, but I've had to spend more at other places. I wasn't told anything about my dental procedure. I'll have to do my own research. A little out of date with different treatments and producers. Was referred to a more extensive specialist that was surprised about contraptions he had me buy that was $400 that I was told to thow away! I would only go back to see if he's brushed up on new ways due to having been a former patient . Deffenty be wary if you don't get a good feeling or if you keep spending money there. Thousands of dollars in two years for him to finally admit I need surgery and to be referred.
