Dr. Shessel's nurse assistant was atrociously crude, making a joke about penis size when I mistook a small blue pad for a folded blue garment. As for Dr. Shessel, he is superficially pleasant but does not inspire any confidence in his decision making. He failed to order a scrotal u/s when I first saw him, forcing my internist to make arrangements. After reviewing those results, Dr. Shessel suddenly suggested surgery after first making light of my complaints. Both times I saw him, I felt as though he wanted to leave the room as fast as he could. I've since been told by another urologist that Shessel should have also done a prostate exam to rule out other diagnoses. Stay away from this doctor. He needs to retire. Better yet, avoid GA Urology altogether. This practice is only interested in money, not quality patient care. From what I've read, most of their other doctors are even worse than this one.

DR SHESSEL IS THE WORST UROLOGY EVER I HAVE EVER SEEN. I use to go regularly to urologists in the past 7 years. Dr Shessel don't have time for patient, he barely listen to me in 5 min and he always give you the impression that he is in hurry and he has to leave you... he always ask for expensive tests for no reason. I was in pain for 3 months, I went to him 3 times and he told me I am normal after very expensive tests, I had an infection and after 3 months it became very severe until I went to another Doctor and he figure out that in the 1st min and he gives me a long course of antibiotics until I became better... he will never do physical tests and if he did, it will be for just couple of min, he will never stay with you more than 5 min... I really don't recommend him for anybody.
