I had thyroid surgery today and I am already fine! I was up and talking within an hour after my surgery and the nurses couldn't believe it! (Trust me I don't usually do so well with these things). I visited his office twice before my surgery, the wait for the first visit was less than 30 minutes and the other was over an hour BUT it was SOOOOOO worth the wait. He takes his time with each patient and that's why the wait is a little longer. I am a professional singer and I was so scared to have the surgery and I am so, so happy that I went with Dr. Deems. He is very confident and he knows what he is doing - this is what you want when it comes to surgery! I would suggest going with him over any other ENT in Manatee/Sarasota County!!! I am counting my blessings!!

The waiting area here is rather cramped. People occasionally have to stand as there is not enough chairs; however, the real problem is that the physician overschedules himself which REGULARLY results in long waits -- I have had to wait 3 hours a few times, and 5 hours once. The staff even tells patients to call before leaving the house to check to see how long a wait is anticipated!

The staff made every effort to make me feel welcome. They are friendly and nice. . The entire staff only had great things to say about the physician. They listened to everything I was telling them, and showed a lot of attention to detail. I've never had to worry about them forgetting something or not reading my information correctly, which I've encountered occasionally at other places. I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. My ENT at a major teaching hospital knew this physician by professional reputation, particularly from articles, and holds him in high regard.
