My name is Ralph Parkin. I am a practicing general dentist in Colorado Springs who has seen literally tens of thousands of patients with all types of dental problems, dental questions and concerns. As I worked to solve problems for them, I observed that patients were often not succeeding in gaining and maintaining good oral health care. Their home care was failing them, causing them to have minor to major dental problems. This ran the gamut from gingivitis (puffy gums that bleed easily when brushed or flossed) to complete toothlessness. They experienced pain, embarrassment and inconvenience. I realized that whatever they were doing wasn't working for them. They didn't set out to have toothaches and end up toothless, having to glue their false teeth in their mouth every day. But it has happened to tens of millions of Americans and more are joining this unfortunate group every day. They are losing the “battle to keep their teeth for a lifetime” and they didn't need to be losers! My staff and I are dedicated to helping our patients achieve and maintain their optimal dental health. We are located in southwestern Colorado Springs, just south of the World arena on B Street. We have convenient Saturday hours which is a real benefit for busy working patients who otherwise would have to take time off from work. The website is devoted to providing cutting edge dental health information and tips for successfully keeping dentally healthy.
I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. They tried to take us for thousands of dollars to fill cavities that never existed. After going to see them they said our son had 8 cavities and I had 4. They also said my other children had 2-3 cavities. They wanted us to set up a payment plan and give them $750 our of our income tax to cover the out of pocket expenses. Since some of the work they said needed to be performed was on my 2 year old baby teeth, i decided to seek a second opinion. After seeking the second opinion it was clear we were being taking advantage of. My son who was told had 8 cavities only had 2. The other 2 children did not have any cavities and I only had 1 myself. After filling the 3 cavities, we paid around $200 out of pocket. Hugh relief compared to the $3,000 Cheyenne Mountain Dental wanted us to pay. My children were seen by one of the top rated pediatric dentists in Iowa as the second opinion. The pediatric dentist and the dentist i saw were both shocked when i told them the amount of dental work CMD was saying we needed. Do not go there!
