The facts regarding Dr. Robert Gold as we see them:

1. Very incompetent staff. Nurse performed tests incorrectly.
2. Very unprepared. They had complete medical record one month in advance and apparently had not read a single word.
3. Dr. Gold focused undue attention on our daughter, and not our son who - who was the patient.
4. He responded to a legitimate, parental medical question with a condescending remark, "maybe your son should lift weights...." to correct his strabismus.

The office later sent a survey where we shared these facts. Our response BEGAN with, "We will not be back."

One week later we received a certified letter. I quote from the letter, "I feel it would be in your best interest to seek the service of another ophthalmologist."

Wow. Talk about hubris.

Went there today. I was lied to about the fees. He is into testing and testing and padding bills. When I wanted my records since I can not trust this office or the Doctors my records according to the office is the property of there and they refused to give me copies. There was something that wasnt kosher about him and his staff and I called my insurance company which they claimed they called about a deductable of $975.00 which they were aiming to get from me. They over charged me on the visit. committed a form of Medicare fraud. Would never go back. He's insterested in your money first and how much he could drain you out of it. I reported him to Humana now I am going to report him tomorrow to Medicare and to the Florida State Attorney General and to the Medical Board.
