I had a horrible experience with Dr. Fishman's Skin Enhancement Center. I was treated by his PA Gary Westbrock for some scars I had from a mountain biking accident, I asked if there was any way to reduce their size and he recommended a steroid injection, which I agreed to, untold of the potential risk. After receiving the injections one of the treated areas became extremely thin, red, and began to spread. Apparently the steroid had damaged the collagen in my skin and was completely destroying it, which I was not told could happen. For over a year I received free treatment from Gary and even had to have the area exercised, which did little since the scar just spread again to about three inches long and 1/3 of an inch wide. After over twelve months of free treatment Gary said there was nothing he could do. With the damages being entirely his fault I asked for a the modest amount of $3,000 because I had to live with it for the rest of my life and if I ever wanted it to be removed I would have to have surgery which would include a skin graft because of the area it was located. He and Dr. Fishman, who had acted as if nothing had went wrong the entire time I was receiving treatment, refused my request. I have submitted this case to the Medical Board of California and it is still under investigation. I do not recommend Gary of Dr. Fishman, they rush their work and do not take responsibility for their mistakes.
