Mblair@yahoo.comVery good doctor, like the fact if you get sick during the weekend you can just walk in instead of having to go to the ER and pay those high co-paysmblair@

Terrible experience! They refuse to treat people who don't have insurance or are disabled. A possible stroke risk patient presented himself at their office first thing Saturday morning. He explained that another party would pay for the appointment and that this had been prearranged with LaDetra ( an office medical assistant ) on Friday. Upon arrival at the office , WENDY (no last name as she refused to provide it) , another medical office assistant was extremely rude to both the potential patient and the payee on the phone. I tried to explain that I would gladly pay the $145 office visit fee and exactly what the visit was for she became nasty and said that there could be a series of tests that would need to be run and that there would be additional charges. I said that prior to additional tests I would need to know fees and what the tests were for. I also explained that the patient had been seen recently by a Dr., diagnosed, and had with him all of his medical paperwork from his recent hospital stay. The patient was instructed to find a physician to follow up with for prescription refills in his home state. Wendy became rude, placed me on hold, and then came back and told me that they were refusing treatment. One person who was very polite and seemed educated, LaDetra, was very helpful the prior day when an inquiry was made; however, it seems she may need to give customer service training to some members of the staff. This practice has a mission statement and their website and it is: We are committed to providing competent, compassionate, comprehensive medical care to help improve the quality of the lives of our patients. You need to consider changing your statement because it is the furthest thing from the truth. I am still waiting on a return call from Dr. Boyington.
