Dr Teheri horribly damaged my wife's leg when trying to remove spider veins. Said she could have free dermatology services from then on. Once the statute of limitations passed for filing a malpractice suit, he reneged on his promise to no longer charge for dermatology services.
This is the most modern dermatology office in the area that I know of. Alot of people go here. As with most medical businesses when you make an appointment you usually dont get Dr. Taheri himself but some one else on staff. For common treatments like monthly chem peels and facial maintenance for acne, a tech will do the work. The Staff is friendly and are willing to work with you. I've gotten scripts for my daughter's acne and the pharmacy couldnt get it filled for at least a week, so the office manager gave me a ton of samples to cover the days until i could the meds. It was worth alot to give those. Not really concerned about updated magazines in the waiting room because everyone just stares at the phones anyways, but there is good literature to read on all types of skin issues, treatments and there are some products available to purchase there which makes it nice.
Several issues with this provider: 1. The provider requires patients to sign multiple agreements to not provide honest opinions on the internet. If you post a review and it is negative, Tahari will come after you. If you post a comment and it is not negative they own the property rights to it. 2. In the three page patient doctor agreement document the patient agrees to never post any comments with out full name (I thought how are they going to research anonymous postings?) 3. The patient agrees only the doctor knows best, if you as a patient get a treatment you don't need or is medically unsound you still owe Tahari. 4. The patient agrees to take all complaints to the office manager and not ever leave dissatisfied without talking to the staff first. If the office decides there is a problem "they" will investigate. 5. The patient has to sign documents releasing all photos and the name of the patient for release at the doctor's discretion.
I refused to sign one of the documents, so I was told they would not see me. I asked for my paperwork back. I am so glad I left! The documents were so intrusive and demanded so many rights to be handed over to Tahari, it was a red flag to me.
When I got back to work I was told by two cubical mates that this doctor's office is known for (a) mediocre treatment, (b) passing patients to "technicians" or PAs not a doctor, (c) providing laser treatments in an unprofessional manor by a technician, (d) disinterest and rude behavior, and (d) uses an external billing agency that makes many mistakes that are difficult to get resolved.
Needless to say, don't go there! Buyer beware! Run!
