Dr. Janice Frederick- Mendota Dental

Dr. Frederick started Mendota Dental in January 2008. She offers gentle, caring dental services for your entire family! Dr. Frederick's vision of dentistry is to help her patients obtain optimal dental health. A healthy mouth is the key to having a great brite, white smile. Dr. Frederick believes in offering dental care that is affordable. With a variety of payment options to take the pressure out of deciding which services are best for you; our staff will work with you to make any financial arrangements that are necessary.
Gum surgery is not always an option for some people. It's scary. Dr. Frederick offers an alternative option to surgery with Perio Laser Surgery. Being one of four Doctors in Minnesota certified to perform this procedure, Dr. Frederick is a leader in this field. She is continually studying and learning to grow and build her skills.
Braces are another tool that dentists use to help people straighten their smiles. Most people shy away from this service due to the length of treatment. No one wants to be seen with food caught in their braces! Dr. Frederick uses the 6 month braces system which reduces the length of time that patients wear the wires and brackets, giving them the same beautiful, straight smile as the lengthy treatments.
Dr. Frederick is a graduate of the U of MN. She received both her Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the U of MN. Dr. Frederick joined her father Dr. Gary Oberg in his dental practice in where they practiced together for 23 years. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the of Dental Sleep Medicine and several local study clubs. Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening and photography. Dr. Frederick lives in with her husband Dan and Maximillian, a German exchange student. Max is attending St. Thomas Academy for the 2008-2009 academic years. Dr. Frederick's daughter Lauren is in the Carlson School of Management and is studying in Mexico for the next 3 months. Her son Kevin attends the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and will be playing hockey for them this season.
