I visited a couple times as a youth and was never impressed and changed PCPs. My mom had been going to her for years. She manged my mom's diabetes poorly, never referring her to an endocrinologist even though the situation was worsening. My mom went in with a very painful health concern and was basically told there is nothing they could be done. My mom returned again with the same concern and asked for a referral due a specialist and Dr. Anastasi refused to give her one. While in the hospital for another reason the nurses were absolutely appalled that my mom's concern was ignored because it wad something that could have and should have been addressed and treated. My mom will never return to see this doctor ever again.

Now granted, I expected the wait time to be long because I had to go to clinic care, so that part isn't bothersome. When the nurse finally took me back, she had no expression to her.. she was not friendly whatsoever and gave off the impression that she didn't give a flip about anything or anyone. When the doctor came in, she asked what was wrong, I told her that I was having some abdomen/rib pain, she pushed on my stomach and ribs a few times, and told me that it was probably just a muscle strain. I told her that I was really concerned because it hurt so bad and had been going on for a while and told her that when I called earlier, they told me they thought it was pneumonia. She looked down at her papers and mumbled under her breath "Well we can do a chest xray, but I really don't think it's pneumonia.." in the crummiest tone ever! SERIOUSLY?!? I couldn't believe it! NO WAY WOULD I EVER RECOMMEND THIS DR TO ANYONE!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!
