He does not order a lot of tests, not even x-rays. His loyalty is to the insurance company. In my six years of having him as my doctor, he hesitated in ordering tests or prescribing medications because he was afraid of what the insurance company might think. He told me this. Also, he brags having a sports medicine license and an "ortho" doctor. However, when he was treating my knee for years, he did not even x-rayed my knee until another ortho doctor in his OWN network told me that I should have it x-rayed. I finally realized and noticed that, after all these years, most of his diagnosis were just guessing games. His pattern was simple: He guessed what I had and referred to me another specialist. He never treated me. He just referred me. That's what he's good at -- referrals, not treating or diagnosis. He was very good in appearing that he knew what I had. Even if other specialists told me something that was contrary to what he said, he would defend his diagnosis with much eloquence -- even if he is completely wrong. He brags being a member of the BU hockey team, without telling you that he was a 3rd string goalie and he only played an average of 7 minutes per game and only when the outcome was already sure... I'm not exaggerating. This fact was written in an article when he was awarded as "Athlete of the Year" in BU. Google it and you'll see that I'm telling the truth. He was not an athlete of the year because he was a great athlete. BU just did not know what to do with a bookworm athlete. I can summarize my review with this doctor, "Beware of appearances. Appearances can be quite deceiving." Go to other doctors who would treat you and who are honest enough to admit that they're wrong when they are.
