I have fond memories of feeling very sleepy and disoriented after getting my first Swedish massage, and it still has the same effect on me to this day.
I'm finding that in this day in age, stress relief is so incredibly important for me. Whatever it is that we do to cope with our stress: getting a massage, meditation, yoga, taking a bath, a walk in nature, it is something that I try to schedule for myself on a weekly basis.
The world's pace seems to become faster and faster, and it's crucial that I don't lose connection with my soul, my spirit when I'm trying to accomplish everything that I need to get done in the week.
Why am I sharing this with you? Because maybe you might feel the same way. I admire my clients who come to me on a regular basis, and they've definitely inspired me to keep my "appointments" with myself for self care time.
So, kudos to the people who are taking care of themselves and in turn making the world a better place to be. I am glad to be on the journey of becoming one of these people.
: )
Kathryn Cain, LMT
