My Quest for Coverage</a> by <a href='https://www.wellness.com/user/94710/wellriverwalk'>WellRiverwalk</a><br/><br/>I recently started working for myself and have had many "What did I get myself into moments". I most recent one was my quest for individual coverage. <br/><br/>I have always been insured and have been an insurance company's dream. Healthy, never go to the doctor, don't believe in prescription medications, active, normal blood pressure and cholesterol and not a smoker. Well this all changed when I found a spot on my chest that didn't seem to heal. During my check up with my dermatologist, she saw it, removed it and all is well. No big deal.<br/><br/>Until I get a call from the provider in reference to my application. I explained that the spot was removed, all is well and I am now a lifelong supporter of sunscreen. <br/><br/>Well, I received my denial of coverage letter today. I am filled with so many emotions and wonder what the heck is wrong with our world? I thought Insurance Reform had passed and I thought it would never be anything that would ever affect me. <br/><br/>How is this right?
