They never make a mess and you never have to feed them :) They are lovable, kind, do not make a sound and best of all, are great with children! When the kids come across a lucky cat, they are immediately drawn to it and become instantly happy :)

You can adopt your very own Lucky Cat at any store that sells Asian based goods. These little fellas do not even coast all that much. Prices can range from $12-$25 and up depending on the size lucky cat you wish to adopt. In fact majority of Asian businesses, from retail to restaurants, have a "lucky Cats" by the front entrance to help welcome in new customers and positive energy.

If you are a teacher, perhaps you can place a lucky cat in your classroom to help welcome all those eager young minds every morning. When its time for testing, let your students know the lucky cat wishes them luck! :)

Copy right 2010 by Feng Shui Long Island consultant Carole Provenzale and Laura Cerrano

Less is more in Feng Shui

Wellness.com - Less is more in Feng Shui by Feng Shui Expert

Less is more in Feng Shui

The number one issue in Feng Shui is ...CLUTTER! :)

De-cluttering is the most basic principle and easiest way to start your journey of living a Feng Shui lifestyle. What ever you do not "need, use or love" ~ Carole Provenzale Feng Shui NY consultant, let go, donate, or sell (if you have time).

Clutter relates to your mind, it is best to have open and organized space when working or being creative. Your emotions can be impacted as well when dealing with to much clutter in your New York home or apartment. Your energy level may be affected too, you may feel drained and tired or un-motivated.

Good energy needs to flow freely in order to manifest positive energy and allow room for new energy into your life and space.

Even tho it is not spring, hop to and start cleaning and organizing, you will feel better :)

Copyright 2010 by Carole Provenzale and Laura Cerrano Feng Shui NY consultants of Feng Shui Long Island NY and NYC
Real or Fake, what is better when choosing Flowers in Feng Shui?

Wellness.com - Real or Fake, what is better when choosing Flowers in Feng Shui? by Feng Shui Expert

Real or Fake, what is better when choosing Flowers in Feng Shui?

It is important that we allow nature into our NY home, apartment and buisness. Nature is us and we are nature, no matter how you look at it.

A client in NYC shared an interesting observation about his surroundings. He used to live across the street from Central Park and loved seeing the changing of the seasons and having lush greenery and trees facing his view. He said it made him feel supported, relaxed and less anxious.

He moved to a more industrial part of the Manhattan NY and had a greater feeling of anxiety and wanting the erg to place more "nature" like elements in his new apartment to balance his environment. We could understand this feeling 100%

In Feng Shui the saying goes, "let the outside in". One of the methods in Feng Shui that is based on nothing but nature is the Five Elements. When educating our clients about this method we give suggestions on how to address each element with their intentions and either objects, materials, art work and more. One questions our clients ask often is , "should we use real or fake plants when dealing with the wood element?"

Traditional Feng Shui always suggest to use real because the energy is alive and constantly growing and helping to heal. Another option is to use silk plants. We have had a few clients say, I hear dried flowers are bad energy. From our own experience we say if you can avoid dried flowers please do, but!....there are always exceptions to the rule.

Lets say you had dried flowers that were given to you as a present from someone very dear or they hold some type of sentential value. If they make you feel good, then keep them. Listen to yourself and intuition.

Copyright 2010 by Carole Provenzale and Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui NY Long Island and NYC

Every wonder what Feng Shui Translates to?

Wellness.com - Every wonder what Feng Shui Translates to? by Feng Shui Expert

Every wonder what " Feng Shui" Translates to?

In translation Feng Shui literally means "Wind and Water." Why wind and water? Think about it in this way. Wind relates to air and air is what we need to breath which gives us life. The other equation is Water

Water relates to the streams and rivers of the world that produces our drinking supply for all living creatures and humans. Our bodies are 80% water and with out our much needed supply, we will not survive. This is the same for air, no oxygen equals you stop breathing.

Wind and Water are essential to life, these are the life-giving elements and are the carriers of energy. All living organisms are composed of these two elements.

Copyright by Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui New York City Long Island NY Saturday 24, 2010

New York Wellness Corporate and Business Programs Should include Feng Shui into thier Wellness Programs

Wellness.com - New York Wellness Corporate and Business Programs Should include Feng Shui into thier Wellness Programs by Feng Shui Expert

New York Wellness Corporate and Business Programs should include Feng Shui into their Wellness Programs

Employees who are educated about how to make better health decisions save on healthcare costs and leads to cut backs on productively losses for the corporation, companies and businesses. I Promise you this is a Feng Shui Principle! by Feng Shui Expert

Play and be Creative! I Promise you this is a Feng Shui Principle!

Consulting for over ten years Laura Cerrano has noticed we tend to forget to give ourselves a break, "play" and allow time to be creative from our busy New York City and Long Island NY lives. Allowing yourself to take a breather and be creative is one of the most powerful ways to enhance the liveliness of positive energy flowing through your home and within you. All this great weather we have been having everyone needs to do this Feng Shui Principle! Your creativity stimulates joy, enthusiasm, and the wanting to participate in life.

There is no right or wrong way of being creative. It is completely up to the individual, maybe your creative by playing music, singing, dancing, planting a garden or creating artwork. All work and NO play is a bad combination for anyone. It is important even as adults to get in touch with our "inner child," it sounds silly but it is true!

Other people will notice your Aura change as well. Fellow employees, family, friends, customers and even strangers will feel the shift of energy because it emanates from you. Your spirit will feel lighter, challenges and solutions can come a little bit easier.

A message that was sent to me I share with you, "Have fun and Enjoy Life!"

Article by Laura Cerrano of Feng Shui Long Island and New York City
Copyright 2010 "Feng Shui Long Island"
