I believe this is due to a lack of understanding of the physiological effects of 1) lack of movement (both segmental and global) and 2) improper diet on the mental health of the individual.
Both lack of movement and poor diet have been shown scientifically to create toxicity and deficiency in the body. As a result, this creates chronic stress and sickness of both a physical and mental nature.
For this reason, I have brought a Wellness Seminar in San Luis Obispo, CA titled, "SLO WELLNESS WORKSHOP: Eat Well, Think Well, Move Welltm" based on the teaches of Dr. James Chestnut. There is a website, but due to the publishing terms of this site, I better not mention it here.
The goal of workshop is to provide health professionals and the local communitywith the most recent developments of how sufficiency in movement, diet and thoughts positively effect the state of the mind.
