I had a wonderful experience here especially with wound care and therapy. I came into Kindred not sure if I would ever walk again and the therapy team made sure it happened for me.
I’ve been at the hospital for a long time on and off for the past few months and I’m finally off the ventilator. Before I couldn’t lift my legs at all and now I can take steps after working with physical therapy. The therapy team and Danielle were very consistent with me. The nurses Meaza, Trudy, Tia and case manager Janel spent a lot of time with me. I am thankful for their kindness and help during my recovery.
The nurses both on the 3rd floor and 1st floor took excellent care of my husband with kindness and patience. Thank you to the doctors who made it possible for him to get to the ARU and work with the therapy team there and accommodating all his care needs.
I was treated really well by nursing and rehab. At times when I was embarrassed because I couldn't do what I was used to staff put me at ease and reassurred me that was why they were here . I'm excited I've gotten strong enough with the help of rehab at Kindred that I get to go to acute rehab.
Beyond exceptional care from nurses (Ashwin & Michelle), CNAs (Precious & Anya), wound care (Barbara & Emily), housekeeping (Sherrie) / maintenance, and dietary! Dr. Debutts was fantastic. I saw my doctor everyday and he explained things to me and my family in laymen's terms with urgency, kindness, and consistency in my particular care & improvement. All encompassing care was ordered, completed, and reported within an hour! Thanks to all, Joey Carr
Kindred Hospital has an overwhelming kindness that transcends across the entire organization including nursing, physicians, CNA's, all the therapies - physical, occupational, speech, respiratory - as well as the wound care team. They all exceeded my expectations so I had a great experience - 1st class. I thoroughly enjoyed being here and I bonded with the entire staff. Unique and uplifting!! I'll not only be back to visit, I'll be recommending Kindred to my family and friends.
Dr. Tareen is awesome. I really like him. He answered all my questions and explained things so I could really understand. I can't say enough about the Physical Therapists, Stephanie and Susan, who pushed until I got it done. Speech Therapist, Emily, was fantastic and got me swallowing correctly. Nurses & CNAs were great - Eric gave me a great shave and Alicia helped with night time leg spasms. I ate all the food like scrambled eggs, tomato soup, cream of wheat, and more. Thanks to all at Kindred Hospital Havertown.
I like the this hospital best. The nurses update me daily. Dr. Tareen explains things to me so that I can understand. I like PT because they challenge and motivate me.
