Pancake Wellness need to be more transparent and reasonable in its pricing.
We were enticed to visit with a promise of free initial consultation. When we arrived and registered, there was no mention of costs or given any fact sheet of costs, which is the normal practice at all health care providers. After a while, we were ushered into a consultation room. Then one of the staff stood at the door and rattled off some charges. We thought this was for subsequent visits as we were told that the first visit would be free. Was this also an attempt to do it away from the hearing of other clients in the waiting room?
After the consultation, we were encouraged to have some xrays. No mention of costs and we assumed this was in line with so many chiropractors we have seen who provided these free.
Imagine our shock when we billed for $350. $90 each for what they claimed was an evaluation after the consultation. An exorbitant charge compared to other chiropractors. This was some brief test of balance etc. Not once were we told that the consultation was over and whether we want to have the evaluation for $90.
We were encouraged to have new xrays even though we brought some recent ones. Only one of us had the xrays. Imagine our shock when it cost $170!
We didn't make a scene as we thought it may have been our fault for not asking. Despite bringing this up to the doctor, there was no sympathy or offer to reduce. We could have refused as there was nothing in writing.
So I would caution all new clients to ask upfront and not be taken in by free offers. I didn't expect this of a doctors office.

They've given me a ton of nutritional and lifestyle tips. They know how important it is for my recovery. Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. They had a huge selection of magazines in the waiting room. I was able to find some of my favorites and they kept me entertained while I was waiting for my appointment.
