The staff is hit or miss on how they want to treat you. My daughter had her 1st Gyn. appt. ever here and was treated very cold. She was terrified before going and now she does not want to ever go back. I should have went with her, but she insisted on going on her own. Front office was on personal calls on cell phone. Dr didn't even take the time to find out that this was my girls 1st time getting this exam done. Dr didn't take time to explain things or make sure my daughter understood what was being talked about. She made my daughter feel dumb. Who do these people think they are? Seriously, If you are that unhappy with your job, then maybe you should find something else to do!

I have been seeing Dr. Newman for nearly two years after leaving a rather large local OB/GYN practice. After having two other babies at Thunderbird, I loved that he personally attended as many births as possible in his practice rather than being stuck with the on call doc and I was excited o deliver at Del Webb. I experienced a missed miscarriage that was discovered at the 12 week ultrasound and I was struck by how calm, tender and reassuring, yet matter of fact Dr. Newman was when answering our questions and recommending options. I never felt he pushed one option or another, just informed and supported whatever I decided. He was supportive of us getting pregnant again quickly after and we had a happy, healthy baby girl in his care. I've read reviews of Dr. Newman's that have talked about him being rough with pelvic exams. In regards to that, I don't think he's rough, he just has large hands and so it seems unavoidable that it's going to be more uncomfortable than the petite female docs I have been to. Amy in the back office is wonderful, and I love that everything from blood work to ultrasound can be done on sight! They've also recently added the services of nurse midwives which I wish I was able to take advantage of, but is just another testament to the efforts to provide a well rounded women's health service to his patients. I highly recommend this practice.
