I have had three experiences with the Summit Center. the first was for myself and the doctor I had barely spoke to me, just threw different medications at me when something wasn't working. The second was for my daughter to see a therapist. At the first appointment the woman was very judgmental and critical of my daughter, making her feel even worse than she did before the appointment. The third was just today when I attempted to make an appointment for my son and the receptionists refused because he is 18...they stated that HIPPA law prevents me from making an appointment for him which I have verified is completely untrue. I am his insurance holder and handle all of his medical care and, as long as no private information is exchanged, I can make an appointment for him even before a release is signed. The receptionist refused to provide anything in writing stating that I was not authorized to make an appointment and continued speaking over me when I was trying to explain the situation. I have given this facility multiple chances due to the convenience of their location and the limited options available through my insurance but this is the third strike; I will NOT be returning and have already contacted my medical group with an official complaint. It should not be so difficult to find compassionate care for mental health.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST facility on the Planet. It's disgusting and dirty, I barely wanted to sit on the chairs! Too bad the chairs were the BEST part of this practice!!!!

My daughter, who's 15yo, did not like her new psych Dr. It wasn't personal, I'm sure she is very nice, however she just didn't find her 'style' to her liking. We actually cancelled a follow up appt because she seemed to be stressed about going to see her.

Unfortunately, her anxiety had come back and I called to get her an appt with the other psych Dr in the facility but they WOULD NOT allow that! They won't change a Dr because of 'that' reason. Ummmm, isn't that the BEST reason? If you aren't comfortable talking to a Dr about some of your most personal issues wouldn't you want to talk to someone else??

Kathy the office manager is the biggest bitch I've ever dealt with and I work in HEALTH CARE!!!!!! The first time we were there we got 'into it' because we were in the waiting room and no one was calling us back; I waited until the door to the back opened and asked why we hadn't been called back yet. Apparently we didn't check in at the mystery counter around the corner from where you enter, so our appts were late!. (Our last Dr we just waited in the waiting room to be called back at our scheduled appt. time). Anyway, on the phone, Kathy gave me the impression that maybe if we didn't cancel the previous appt we wouldn't be in this situation. I had told her that if we weren't allowed to see the other Dr we would have to find another practice which she was ALL TO HAPPY to say "that's what we should do"! I stated the only other option would be to take her to the ER and Kathy said if her anxiety is as bad as I'm saying it is that''s what I should do. That tells me this facility has no emergency appts either.

I guess they must have enough patients already and don't care about the new ones and clearly Kathy lacks the empathy to understand the frustration and fear a parent can feel knowing that her little girl needs to see a Dr. in the first place!!

Just an FYI, my degrees are in Social Work so I have experience with facilities and how patients should be treated. No one should be treated with such disrespect in a time of stress, nor should patients be treated as if they are cattle being herded into rooms. I think I heard a literal 'cha ching' and saw floating dollar signs over Kathy's head!

To be fair, there was one counselor that stood out, I hope she gets the hell out of there.
