I had an absolutely horrendous experience with the female counselor we had. Went for couples therapy and apparently my significant other had already been talking to the counselor for a while, met a few times prior to me joining in. So multiple times my girlfriend was allowed to blatantly interrupt me and completely overtake the conversation. She was then telling a story and slipped in that I called her a bad name, that was not true, I briefly said "hold on, I did not say that" my girlfriend agreed that I did not say it but the counselor completely stopped the session and said we do not interrupt each other in couples therapy and made a huge deal of it....What about the 3 times she interrupted me and nothing was said. I am not even exaggerating when I say that the entire time my girlfriend was speaking the counselor was shaking her head in agreement, then when it was my turn she just stared at me like I am full of crap. Anytime we talked about a serious issue that my GF did, the counselor said I should move on from it, she apologized. Then when we talked about me shutting myself in the bedroom, it was a huge deal, "whoa, you cannot close the door!" After a few sessions it was unbearable and I felt that they completely screwed any chance at therapy helping and ripped me off. Me and my girlfriend now days cannot agree on anything, literally nothing! She agreed that this counsellor was on her side though. Terrible experience all around, I would not recommend this place.
