I went to the ER for an abscess tooth on 9/16/2012 @ 5:30PM EST and was seeking anti-biotics. I was tachycardic when the triage nurse took my vitals and admitted me immediately. I was experiencing pain, swelling of gum and left side of face, fever, nausea, body aches and felt like I was going to pass out. I suspected the abscessed tooth had infected my bloodstream. I realize the ER is not a Dentist's office but no dentists offices are open on the weekends. Now, this is where it started, right after I was taken to a room in the ER. The whole entire hospital staff ignored me for 3 hours straight, did not even check on me or even act like I was there. Dr. Cox is a terrible doctor and does not even deserve the title. He is arrogant, has terrible bedside manners, has no idea what he is talking about and has ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS BEING IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM PHYSICIAN. When the clock hit ~9:00PM... since no one was paying attention to me I decided I would be more comfortable suffering at home. Who knows... my tachycardia could have been something more, I could have died. Maybe then they would have came into my room. The only positive thing about this visit was the Triage nurse, she's the only one I saw and or talked to in the total of ~3 1/2 hours I was there.
