My mother has lived here since 2014. This is a wonderful place! She loves the food and the housekeeping. They have a great driver who takes them to the dr or appointments. They have a TON of activities! She went on a hay rack ride a couple of weeks ago around the parking lot! She has a lot of fun there and the staff are the best! All are nice and create such a warm and caring environment.

Absolutely! They aren't arrogant at all and are more than willing to pursue advice when necessary

I had relatives who lived there. It was a very sad thing that they paid so much for the level of service they got. It is completely clear that the director does not care about the residents who live there. She does NOT ensure that the staff do their jobs. It is often the case that housekeeping doesn't even show up to clean the rooms for weeks on end. The food is not good at all and they frequently run out of food before all of the people are served. The halls smell of a combination of cigarette smoke and those plug in air fresheners.

Not at all. They were too arrogant to ask for any assistance, even though they knew it would help

Very disappointed lately with the quality of food and service provided at Independence Village in Peoria Illinois. Housekeeping and dining staff are not mindful of the customers they serve.
