When we moved to Yorba Linda in 1987, one of our friends recommended that we take our pets (cats) to Dr. Brar in Yorba Linda. He has a very good reputation and his prices are very reasonable, Dr. Brar and his capable and friendly staff have treated all our pets over the years. On two occasions he saved two very sick kittens literally on the threshold of death, and now those 2 cats have grown into healthy individuals and are living long happy lives.When the time came to put two of our cats to sleep, Dr. Brar and the entire staff gave us comforting moral support, and even sent us cards afterwards expressing their support and condolences. This morning we are taking our 13 year old Cornish Rex with renal disease to be euthanized.. My heart is heavy and sad, but I know Dr. Brar and his team will be there for us.
As long as we have any pets, Dr. Brar will be our vet. I recommend him highly.

I can never give enough thanks for Dr. Brar and his A+ staff. I’ve been taking JRock (now 14.5 year old chow) to Dr. Brar’s office for years. There have been a couple major issues, in which I’ve brought JRock in for treatment that I can attest for, two of them in more recent years due to his old age. First, he went in maybe 5+ years ago for surgery on his ear. A large sac of blood started building on it, probably from him wrestling with my brother’s husky. Surgery went perfect and Jrock was back to himself right away. Second, he started limping because of old age. Dr. Brar was quickly able to diagnose it was breakdown of ligaments in his knee, prescribed medication, and Jrock was running around again like when he was a young stud. Finally, on the most recent occasion a couple weeks ago JRock stopped eating and was very fatigued and seemed out of wits. We feared the worst and brought him in. Dr. Brar was able to give him fluids (he was really dehydrated b/c he wasn’t eating nor drinking much), antibiotics, groomed him, and ran a number of tests including blood/xray. During the entire stressful event Dr. Brar continually checked in with me on status and progress of Jrocks recovery. All tests ran were important and revealed certain issues with Jrocks well being. None of the tests were for without purpose, which exemplifies Dr. Brar’s honesty, ethics, and care for his patients). The fluids and antibiotics helped the most. He showed me the test results and was very detailed in explaining what the numbers meant and correlated it with Jrocks overall health. Ultimately, he brought a sick dog that we all thought we were going to have to put down back to good health and extended his life for that much longer. We know the inevitable is bound to happen with his old age (Note: he also explained this process in a very humane and sympathetic way), but we are just so happy that he was able to give us that much more time with one of our family members. I would recommend him to any of our friends and family in the area.

Unbelievabley gentle, it is very apparant they truly care about pets well-being and comfort

Absolutely not, I was horrified at how insensitive they were.
