Katy helped me and my husband deal with loss and change after he had his second stroke. She was kind, empathetic and humorous. She let us borrow multiple books to give us more depth of understanding. Now that my husband died, talking with Katy feels like coming home. She has helped me through my grief and gently pushed me along a positive path to parent our children with compassion, intelligence and love. She is an amazing counselor. I understand that part of her practice is high conflict divorce and helping people with co-parenting when they are highly conflicting - so don't let the other review turn you away from her awesome counseling. People in high conflict usually have serious underlying mental health conditions that they don't bother to address. It's easier to attack and blame the counselor rather than learn healthy communication!

Katy Steinkamp is all about the money. She creates more drama and resolves nothing between parents, in order to collect. She is confused and senile and can not keep up with which clients she is assisting, getting their cases confused The woman is of no help yet of great harm instead. She has no morals, no compassion and is unable to resolve any issues objectively. She only creates, issues, conflict, confusion so you can be trapped paying her to unravel her mess, while she gives your child/children away.

Due to time constraints and no availability of other preferred court approved providers, Katy Steinkamp did a child interview with my son. She completely ignored the purview set forth by the court, misrepresented factual information (varying from things as simple as the date my child was born to flat out lies), didn't address the issues at hand, rendered opinions outside the scope of her expertise and attempted to charge additional fees. I'll be disputing not only her charges but also her "report" which reads like a third grade essay. She couldn't even spell our names correctly, let alone formulate a proper English sentence. IF you have an option, even if it's more costly, do NOT choose Ms. Steinkamp for any services.

Beware! This lady is crooked and will say whatever you want if you open your checkbook. She is forgetful, blatantly bias and ridiculously unprofessional. She rips familes apart with her immature Junior-like reports that are ridiculously one sided. Katy Steinkamp is more trouble than you can imagine. I can't understand why the courts trust her on anything. I only wish I would have listened to other reviews. This woman needs to retire and lose her ability to destroy families.
