We had an emergency and all this animal hospital could say was how expensive they would be to have to call the "on-call" vet in. Turns out the Vet was there and she did get on the phone, so much for having to call someone in. Again all she could talk about was how expensive it would be to bring an animal in after hours and that no one would be able to watch the dog overnight. I told her she was having trouble breathing and she went into costs and got up to $600 +++to step in the door for an emergency. We were not sure how urgent it was and all she was doing was making it obvious it would not be convenient to come in so we did not go. They never asked questions about the dog or symptoms. The dog had gone to them for 9 years. No compassion for animals that I could tell in an emergency phone call. Well my dad's beloved dog ended up passing away that night, so they might not have been able to help her but we will never know.
