This nursing facility is the finest I have ever seen. Wonderful care, spectacular staff, warm, loving and caring. Better by far than the pretty places that care more about appearances than care. This place is old but it is clean and full of life. Activities are available all of the time for different levels of ability. This place is full of hope.

I've had my mother in several other nursing facilities, two almost killed her with their poor and dangerous practices and failure to take care of her. The bad places were very pretty and had obviously spent their money on window dressing.

Doctors Lake has put the money where it was most needed, in the staff and in patient care. They plan renovations that will make this the best facility in the state. My mother was watched on a minute by minute basis. I saw the nurses and staff come running at the first sign of any distress from every patient. They didn't put the residents in a dark room alone and uncared for, they brought them out, checked on them every few minutes and spent time with the families making us feel comfortable and loved. When the end was near, they even moved mom to a special room and brought us a tray so we wouldn't have to leave her for a minute.

If I have any control over my future, I will move to Florida and try to get into this facility.

I couldn't get a single person here to answer any of my questions. I was so frustrated. They were late a few times to my appointments. I wish they had made more of an effort to be on time. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. They never made any effort to follow up with me after my visit and it made me feel very unimportant. I know they see a lot of patients, but when you say you're going to follow up, you should.have, place nasty old and I got out of there by wanting to go to ER it was horrible smells like pee, people screaming and hollering it is awful, It maybe for older people with dementia but I wouldnt leave my dog there, I went for rehab and God it was so awful, Dont send your love one there. They were rude at times.night mare
