Dr. Basu might be the greatest doctor ever but I will never know. I've been suffering from chronic headaches for over year and finally my doctor decided that I needed to see a pain management doctor. I had to wait for over a month for my first consultation. The day of my first appointment, I received a call and was told that unfortunately my appointment would have to be rescheduled (4 weeks later) because they couldn't verify my insurance because the website was down. After pleading with the young lady, she agreed to let me call my insurance company to find out what the deal was and she 'might' be willing to try again. I called my insurance company and guess what...their website was not and had not been down all day. I verified the web address and called the doctor's office back. She never would tell me what website she used she just said it wasn't the one that they gave me on the phone and the one that is clearly stated on the back of my card for providers. I was on the website while I was on the phone with her and it was working fine; she just kept saying I had the wrong website and she couldn't verify the coverage. So, I said fine, I will pay cash. She then said...well we haven't received your medical records yet so the doctor wouldn't be able to treat you. (This was the first time anyone asked for my medical records, they had just asked for a copy of my MRI) At this point, it was 3 1/2 hours before my appointment. My primary doctor said they would have the records there within the hour. She said she was sorry but it was too late, my appointment had already been cancelled and rescheduled and there was nothing she could do. I feel like the doctor either told the office to clear her schedule for the afternoon and I was a victim or they were overbooked for the day. If that was the case, honesty would have been the best way to go...this girl had me chasing my tail and made me feel like I just didn't matter. Afterwards, I check all of the reviews on Yelp and it looks like I dodge a bullet. Don't waste your time....go somewhere else. These folks have no compassion.

If there were a negative star rating, -10 would be it!
WORST PAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICE EVER!
The Dr is so so, at best.
The staff is a total joke!
And Dr basu's sister is the office manager she is the WORST! Somehow believing she is better then everyone asks anyone! The Dr should do herself a favor and fire that one!
I have NEVER NEVER worked in a more incompetent office in my life!
They clearly care ONLY about the money! And not the fact their patients are in severe pain!
Any time I over hear people speaking about horrible experience at a pain clinic, (and I come across several) I always ask, was that Sans? It is always a PAINFUL YES!
Do yourself a favor and pass on this office!
I would not send my worst enemy there!
I have done my civil duty, by informing as many people as possible!
I NEVER write reviews or speak poorly, as sometimes things go awry in a office.
But the poor management and incompetent staff in this office was baffling!
I'm amazed they are still in business and practicing!

Where do I start? The staff is incompetent. I have had the same billing problem with this place for months. They ALWAYS have an excuse as to why I have been overcharged. They really should not be in business. The Dr 's have no compassion and look at patients as money. It really is a horrible place. Their staff was not friendly in the least; I really didn't feel welcome there. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. They are completely inadequate. I don't feel like I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. They always seem like they're going to give up on me. The staff made it completely obvious that they didn't respect this provider. It made me uncomfortable.

Frustration is at it's highest, and I've tried to be understanding, but this office at" Fire Mesa" is the worst I've seen and they were not any better before they moved to this "New" location. The first time I tried to make an appointment it was botched and practically everyone after that has some problem. I was refered to Dr Basu by my primary care, and I've tried to go along with this un-responsive, non-effective, dis-organized mode of treatment in my desperate search for relief of my agonizing pain but the last straw was when the told me after two years of this horrible service that it would take$160 for them to fill out my FMLA and short term disability paperwork after botching up my appointment for possible!

I hate this office. They got everything wrong, failed to order necessary tests and gave me the wrong prescriptions. I waited for hours to see a doctor for 5 minutes. They were rude and inpatient. On my worst pain day they could not accommodate me and did not care. They are short staffed, out of everything and so slow. Communication between staff members is poor and check- out takes forever. Dr. Basu was nice, but I wanted treatment not a smile and a pat on the head.

The staff must have not been trained very well. Almost every time I would ask them a question, they'd refer me to their boss or someone else. I had to wait a two weeks or so to get an appointment but I eventually got in. . It was difficult to get an ideal appointment time that fit my schedule. They were far to arrogant to get any sort of outside advice, even though they knew they should. I was hoping to see someone that considered my safety more important than always having an answer. There was a handicap spot right in front, (just lucky, I guess) of their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking. They have a new address and when I made my appoint, they neglected to tell me the new location. So, appointment day, I ended up driving 53 miles to finally find their new location which would only have been 5 miles at the most to their office from my home. When I finally found the correct address and finally found their new office, no one would take responsibility about their address change.. Then, Dr. Basu jumped in at the reception desk and blamed Google, saying they refused or could not or would not update her web page. with her new location. They would not entertain the fact that when I made the appointment, the staff should have alerted me as to the new location information, about the difference of location then and there. If the staff are that immature, and the Dr. is that narcistic that they can do no wrong especially with this small but important matter, I would not want Dr. Basu. in charge of my precious physical well being and total health. To be fair, there was one woman who brought me to the back and took my vitals, she was tall, dark and very sweet and caring. I don't know her name. But, she was worth her weight in gold. She was the only person that I had contact with that have any empathy or compassion, at all.. She was a true gem in the ugly rough. Too bad she was not the commanding force..
I do see THIS website has the new location. But, the website I went to, did not. I would not recommend this Dr.. to my friends or family or anyone else that cares about there own health..She is more concerned about being right Don't put your health in her hands!!!!! As you will not come out on top..... her bank account, maybe and her ego maybe, but, not your well being PLEASE TAKE HEED!!!! This is only my perception of what happened to me. Your perception is your reality. Thanx and take care everybody!!!
