I felt as though the doctor did not listen to me. He did not seem to remember things from appointment to appointment, and I often had to correct, restate, or re-emphasize things from one visit to the next. I felt as though he did not take me seriously and did not put much weight behind what I told him - particularly related to side effects from the medication he had prescribed. It was also clear that he did not want to have a treatment relationship in which he and I collaborated to find the best treatment methods for me.
