Dr. Porto is always professional and I never have a long wait in his office. He always is willing to work with my schedule and needs and makes sure that I have the prescriptions that I need if i am planning to be out of town for long periods of times since i do travel often. He listens and does his best to answer any questions that I have.

Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. They always make sure to return my phone call as soon as possible. They've never left me waiting. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to.

Since my intial visit to Dr. Porto he has spent no longer than 5 min. with me at a time, I walk in, he already has my scripts written out he gives them to me and I leave. On the occasion that I do try to ask a question, I am cut of usually with a, very sarcastic remark,(ie"sorry they didn't teach me that in medical school"). Anytime I need anything more than the scripts, it's like he doesn't have time, it's as if he just wants the patients in & out as quickly as possible, like a cattle call. Recently I had a very, very, difficult , stressful, horribly trying time after my beautiful daughter attempted suicide. While still out of town at my daughter's house (I stayed with her after her release from the hospital), I needed documentation sent to my employer. My husband called Dr. Porto's office to try and get the papers sent, when he was told I would have to come in, he explained I was out of town because my daughter was having problems, they said for me to call. When I called and told the secretary that I wouldn't be able to come in because I was with my daughter, who had attempted suicide, the secretary let out a big laugh and said "your husband just called and said you were out of town because YOU were having problems." I guess I was in shock, because it was late that night that I realized, she must have thought I was lying. Either that or she is just really that cruel? Which ever it is I was and am still, very hurt and angry about this. I can't imagine what kind of person would lie about such a horrible thing, certainly I would not, does she really think I am such a person? That hurts. I talked to Dr. Porto that day as well, he was also very rude. I guess I should have expected that, but somehow I didn't, not on that day when I was dealing with my daughter's suicide attempt and trying to hold myself together for her sake. Obviously, I see a psychiatrist and do have psycological problems, lying is not one of them. I guess what this review boils down to is that Dr. Porto is very uncaring, rude, and very arrogant. I hope I can find a good Dr., so I can get my meds. Porto causes me to feel worse about myself and it cause extreme anxiety to have to go to him to get my meds.
