Dr. McAndrew is Great, very easy with shots. Outer office personel do not exert any effort to make anyone feel welcome. I too have had issues with billing. My regular dentist contacts the insurance company and can tell me within 10 minutes the TRUE total of my portion of the bill. I have only had to go to this office for surgical procedures and all three times, I have been provided with an amount, paid it and then a month or so later received a nasty "pay us or else" bill. Dr. McAndrew is very professional and does not mind answering any questions. I'd recommend him to anyone....but count on your portion of the bill being at least double the amount that you are told.

My whole experience since going to them many times has been positive. The video they have running keeps you well-informed of the procedures. The receptionists always speak to you as you arrive and leave, and they are very kind and personable. I had to call once to change an appointment and they first asked what date would suit ME. The doctor (Carvajal) explains everything and is very caring. I drive up from Appomattox and I don't mind because I feel like I'm getting the best care. I would highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Carvajal is so wonderful at explaining every detail from start to finish. Both of my children have seen him and we could not have been more confident in our choice. From the time we entered the building, to the time we left we were treated by very professional staff. Thank you Central Virginia Oral and Facial Surgery. We will always recommend you to our friends and family.

The oral surgeon (Dr.McAndrew) was amazing, the surgery went smooth and everything was great with him. The customer service SUCKED! The lady at the front desk always has an attitude and is smug about everything. I paid my estimate up front (about $130), the rest was billed to insurance. Apparently insurance didn't pay it all and I was sent another bill for the difference (for about $187). I got a collections notice in the mail stating they'd contacted me 6 times at my correct address (which I never got any notices). My name was incorrect on the collections notice that I did get. I have no problem paying, but they screwed up my information and now I have to pay for it. So now I ended up paying $250 dollars and getting a bad hit on my credit report because these idiots behind a desk can't process information right. It's discouraging because I will never go there again because their office doesn't know what their doing and are not personable. If I needed work I would recommend Dr. McAndrew but be wary of their customer service.
