They talk a good talk but kept giving excuses why they couldn’t finish the work I paid for. Still hasn’t happened and they have my money

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left.

I went to Natural Dentures because of their add and name. I went in for a preliminary interview and the denturist was wonderful (Kenaya), I do not
remember how to spell her name. However I chose to
have my dentures made by the denturist (Ken Horton) who had more
experience. The first visit for upper and lower bites went fine. The second
visit was for another bite that I was unclear about. When Ken came into
the room I said "Hi, How are you doing?". He did not respond to my friendly
question and kept his back to me from the start of the visit. I was surprised
he was so unfriendly. I asked, "what are we doing today?" silence, then,
"bites" or "bite wings". I did not understand what he meant but before I
could get a clear undersanding / explanation of what was to be done,
Ken said"open up" which I foolishly did, and he rammed a mouthful of
molding material in my mouth. he used such force my head flipped back
and I felt like I might choke on all the material. I was unable to say anything,
he said "bite down" I did and in a few minutes he took the material out
of my mouth. I asked what that was and he said it was my 'bite' impresssion.
How could he get an accurate impression without telling me exactly what
he was doing (the business's policy also)? I asked for a redo and he just
looked at me, smiled and shook his head-NO. What happened to explaining to the patient what was to happen? What happened to customer satisfaction?
I asked again and he refused again. We talked about bites then and I felt
I was tricked into giving him what he felt would be an accurate impression.I
asked again for a redo. He would not redo them.
I left very unhappy. Later I called the office and explained what had happened.
They assured me that a new bite would be taken on my next visit. It did NOT
happen. My sister came to that visit with me and witnessed Ken at work.
He shoved the wax mold he made (with the bite I disliked) into my mouth,
it hurt and I said,"ouch". No response from him except that he wanted to
line up the impression. When he was done he looked at my sister and
said,"See the bite is right". He never looked at me. Then he took them out
of my mouth and headed for the door. At the door he stopped and Ranted
and Yelled at me about how I question everything he does, and that maybe
I should go to another doctor.(this is the short version of his horrible
tirade). I tried to defend myself but he would not listen and kept yelling
over anything I said, he was on a roll and kept up until he stopped and
walked out the door. Two thirds down the hallway he turned and said
to me "See you Friday!" in a happy voice. I was in a state of shock. I have
NEVER been treated like that by any doctor, nor any business.
I went to the waiting/appointment waiting area. I could not go up to
the desk and set a time, I could not even sit down I was so shocked.
My sister asked me if I was going to make another appt. I said I didn't
know. I was shaking. I did not know what to do.
Eventually I did ask if Ken was the boss, no and they even had a
manager there. I told them I wanted to talk to the owner. The office person said to give her an idea
about what I wanted to talk to him about. I gave her a very short
version because I wanted to communicate with him myself. later
the woman said she had sent an e-mail to the owner! Had I known
that was what she was going to do I would have not have given her
'an idea' of what the issue was, I would have told her the whole episode.
They would not give me the owners name nor phone number.
I called a few days later and said I had to cancel my business with
Ken due to his tirade. They were shocked. I asked for my deposit back.
They had to check on that and later told me I would be refunded my
deposit but that that was not what they usually did. (Usually, how many
times had this or something like it happened?)
They told me it would end my treatment and I said that was o.k.
Days later I called to see if I could set up work with Kenaya (sp?).
The manager said she would have to call me back.
When she did she said I could no longer have dentures done there
because the end would be a problem. I agreed to save face.
I am so dissapointed that Ken went on his tirade, that he did not
just redo the bite at the appt. I was now out of all the time I spent
and I had no dentures. I also really wanted to do business with them.
What a bad experience. I am 'gun shy' now and am looking for
another denturist. Why did they back the denturist Ken instead of
taking care of their patient? Their advertisment is a lie.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with them?
