I just came back from this clinic and I am livid!! While in the waiting room, I heard the receptionist tell someone on the phone the Dr. was on vacation so they weren't scheduling extractions until he got back. I was in for an extraction, and didn't find out until I went to the room that I was getting Brad, a medical student. First, when he went to numb me, he jabbed me in the lip with the needle. After a couple of injections to the BOTTOM OF MY TONGUE, he started to pry under my tooth. When I winced, he said "Oh that doesn't hurt, that's just pressure" After more prying, I felt like he'd hit me with a baseball bat. I asked for more numbing, he tried again, the entire time asking his assistant questions. How to apply the medication, how to put the drill together. The assistant said "You remembered to take her blood pressure, right? He said "Oh, no. Why don't you go ahead and do that now." So, he then decided he was going to saw the tooth in half. He began and I about went through the roof. He said "I didn't even touch you yet!" He was treating me as if I were lying! I can clearly feel the cut mark where he sawed into my tooth. Even the assistant agreed that he started cutting. He left the room and came back and said he couldn't finish because he gave me enough numbing medication, and "something else was going on "Up here" and pointed to his head, as if I were NUTS!, and that maybe I should come back another day and have an oral surgeon look at it. CLEARLY he had NO IDEA what he was doing. I think it was his first extraction, and he obviously needs to go back to school. I shudder to think he might work on children. If you make an appointment here, you should specify you want a qualified Dr. to work on you. I didn't realize that wasn't automatic. The assistant, Jodie was a DOLL, and was very understanding and compassionate. I think it was blatantly obvious to her this "student" had no business doing this kind of procedure, just by the way she kept suggesting what he might want to do next. I still have the broken tooth, and am in extreme pain. Jodi graciously made an appointment for me with a Dr. in Mancelona, but now I have to suffer with this mess he left me with for 6 more weeks! If you have an option, I would strongly suggest you find another place to go.

They make sure to treat all their clients equally and without favoritism. I've always hated it when I've seen favoritism going on at other places I've visited. It's nice that it doesn't happen here. I will definitely refer my friends and family here. They were great and I think more people should know about them. Their dental equipment is always very clean. I can tell they sanitize it all the time. They never have that typical, annoying music playing here. If they do play music it is soothing and appropriate for the setting. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places.

They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. I am going to refer everyone I know here. I absolutely love this place. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. They were so nice and professional and even called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment.
